Youth Scholarships

Removing financial barriers by helping local athletes secure spots and gear for travel teams. Five scholarships awarded since 2021, covering a full year of club dues (~$1,800) plus a new glove.

Peralta Gloves Scholarship

We're thrilled to announce Luis Jardines as the first recipient of the 2025 Home2First Foundation–Peralta Gloves Baseball Scholarship. After a thorough review of all applicants, Luis stood out as a dedicated student-athlete who truly reflects what Home2First is about. He models his game after his hero, Salvador Pérez of the Kansas City Royals.

Scottsdale Heat Scholarship

We are excited to announce Roderick Thomas as our 2024 Home2First Foundation Baseball Scholarship winner for the Scottsdale Heat Baseball Club. After a review of all applicants, Roderick stood out as someone who personifies all the outstanding qualities we look for to represent H2F. A fast, powerful hitter who models his game after Barry Bonds, he works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the ballfield.

Lee Tinsley Scholarship

We are excited to announce Isaiah Mendoza as our inaugural Lee Tinsley Honorary Scholarship winner for T-Rex Baseball! After a review of all applicants, it was more than clear that Isaiah was the ideal winner — a great student and a hard-working leader on the ballfield. He models his game after Fernando Tatis Jr. and works daily to follow in his role model's footsteps.

We were proud to name Hector Villanueva the 2022 Home2First Foundation Baseball Scholarship winner for FS21 Baseball. A strong student who models his game after his favorite player, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Hector represents everything the program stands for: hard work in the classroom and on the diamond.

The Inaugural Scholarship

Where it all started: Cole Judge was named the first-ever Home2First Foundation Baseball Scholarship winner through our inaugural Arizona Youth Baseball Scholarship Program with the Scottsdale Heat. An outstanding student and ballplayer for the Heat, Cole set the standard for every recipient since.
