Deep Roots in San Pedro de Macorís

San Pedro de Macorís has produced more big-league ballplayers per capita than almost anywhere on Earth. In 2024, Home2First put down deep roots there with our largest shipment ever: a record-breaking 800 pounds of baseball gear.

The haul (a 45% increase over the previous year) was powered by an incredible year of collecting back home in Arizona, including drives with Chaparral and Saguaro High Schools, Valley Christian's record 1,100-piece drive, and our partners at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. In the weeks before wheels-up, the team revitalized used gloves and re-gripped bats from the inventory so every piece arrived game-ready.

Every pound delivered is a kid who doesn't have to share a glove, a catcher who gets real protective gear, and a team that can take the field properly equipped.
