YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS
2024 Scottsdale Heat Scholarship
We are excited to announce Roderick Thomas as our first 2024 Home2First Foundation Baseball Scholarship winner for the Scottsdale Heat Baseball Club. After a review of all applicants, Roderick stood out given he personifies all the outstanding qualities we were looking for to represent H2F. Roderick is currently an 8th Grader at Great Hearts North Phoenix and is a fast and powerful hitter for the Heat. Following in the shadows of his favorite MLB player, Barry Bonds, Roderick aspires to steal bases and hit bombs at the high school and college levels. We are hopeful this scholarship inspires Roderick to keep working hard in the classroom and ballfield to propel his dreams in reality!
2023 Lee Tinsley Scholarship
We are excited to announce Isaiah Mendoza as our inaugural Lee Tinsley Honorary Scholarship winner for T-Rex Baseball! After a review of all applicants, it was more than clear that Isaiah was the ideal winner for this award, given he's a great student (3.5 GPA at Canyon Breeze Middle School) and an outstanding, hard-working leader on the ballfield (for T-Rex's 14U team). Isaiah models his game after Fernando Tatis Jr. and works daily to follow in his role model's footsteps in playing baseball at a high level someday. As the deserving recipient of the Lee Tinsley Scholarship, we're hopeful this motivates Isaiah to continue to work hard both in the classroom and ballfield and inspires other local aspiring ballplayers to follow his lead!
2022 FS21 Scholarship
We are thrilled to announce Hector Villanueva as our 2022 Home2First Foundation Baseball Scholarship winner for FS21 Baseball! After a thorough review of all applicants, Hector emerged as the clear winner for this award as Hector personifies all the outstanding qualities we were looking for. Hector is a solid student at Alhambra High School (3.3 GPA) and is a fantastic ball player and leader for FS21 Baseball! Following the footsteps of his favorite player, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Hector aspires to play baseball at a high level. We are hopeful this scholarship motivates Hector to reach even greater heights and motivates others to follow in his footsteps!
2021 Scottsdale Heat Scholarship
We were pleased and excited to announce Cole Judge as our 2021 Home2First Foundation. Youth Baseball Scholarship winner! After an extensive search for the right player, we looked no further than Cole. He exemplified all of the qualities that we were looking for in a student athlete. Cole is an outstanding student at Sonoran Trails Middle School and is a dedicated and hardworking ballplayer for the Scottsdale Heat! We are hopeful this scholarship motivates Cole to reach even greater heights and inspires others to follow in his footsteps!
